Northwest Georgia Physicians Association (NWGPA) is a physician owned and operated Independent Physician Association (IPA) serving the residents of northwest Georgia with high quality, cost effective healthcare. Formed in 1997 as Bartow Clinics with 31 physicians, NWGPA has more than doubled in size to include physicians spanning a wide range of medical specialties in Bartow, Cobb and Cherokee counties.
NWGPA’s successful growth and development is the result of our focus on high clinical standards, the recruitment of physicians with extensive practice experience, and a willingness to work with a variety of insurance plans. Our goal is to consistently achieve outcomes that improve patients’ health.
The Association performs administrative and support functions relating to contracting, purchasing, and marketing for our member physicians and their practices. It is this collective strength that enables our member physicians to manage their practices efficiently, yet provide their patients with the personalized, caring service expected in a small independent practice.
The formation of an IPA for our local physicians has resulted in a high level of patient satisfaction due to the focus on patient-physician relationships. Furthermore, it has demonstrated outstanding performance in quality, accessibility, and cost effectiveness.
The mission of the Northwest Georgia Physicians Association is to provide comprehensive healthcare for the residents of northwest Georgia by facilitating the growth of member physicians’ practices through the association’s collective administrative efforts which further the ability of independent practitioners to bring the healing art of medicine to our patients.
